Nueva York, Nueva York,  February 13th,  2009

The Consulate General of Mexico in New York has the commitment to provide assistance regarding immigration, legal, family and civil affairs to the Mexican community in the tri state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Among the initiatives of consular protection and assistance implemented by the Mexican government through its consular network is the program of emergency financial aid to Mexican immigrants under vulnerable conditions.

It is important to consider that the Program of Emergency financial aid is provided only ONE TIME to the eligible individuals (not to referral agencies, hospitals, organizations, etc). In the cases related to issues 1,2 and 3, the eligible individuals should bring in person the respective requirements to the Department of Consular Protection. Appointments are not necessary. The office hours are from 8am-1pm.

The issuing of this financial aid at the end will depend on the interview executed by the Department of Consular Protection staff to the individual.

Considering your daily work with Mexican immigrants and valuable role within this community, I would appreciate your support in promoting this program to assist our fellow citizens living under a vulnerable and emergency situation.
